SARI (Scholarship and Research Integrity) Program

In order to satisfy the Scholarship and Research Integrity (SARI) requirement of the Penn State degree, all students admitted Fall 2009 or after are required to participate in five hours of discussion-based activities surrounding topics pertaining to the responsible conduct of research (RCR).

In the Spring 2012 semester, we began transitioning from the four SARI Module curriculum to a single Integrated SARI Module in which topics pertaining to Plagiarism, Conflict of Interest, Research Misconduct, and Collaboration will be discussed. The Integrated SARI Module discussions will take place asynchronously over a ten-day period and the module will be offered four times per year. Successful completion of the discussion-based requirements in the single Integrated SARI Module will satisfy the SARI requirement for your Penn State degree.
