Jean Buskirk, Technical Project Manager, Siemens
IS Alum, Diehard Philly Sports Fan
When I started looking for a graduate program, I really didn't know what career path I wanted to take. I wanted an education that broadened my skills and could help me figure out what to do next. The convenient location, easy admission process (NO GMAT required!), and diverse curriculum in the Information Science degree made Penn State Great Valley a smart choice.
The courses I took were relevant to both work and real life. The assignments weren't just busy work, they were meaningful in the field- and I like that! The skills I learned will help me pursue the next phase of my career.
My professors were very good about providing class time to work on projects. I am a professional, and I work long days. I appreciated that they didn't overload me with work to take home. I am also an athlete and a HUGE Philly sports fan, and I still found time to make it to games in the midst of my studies.
Now that I have graduated, I can focus on my next goal… attending a Phillies game at every major league ballpark!
